The building is made of bricks which are currently tarnished. The Dome of al-Khalili was built in the early 18th century during Ottoman rule of Palestine in dedication to a shaykh named Muhammad al-Khalili.[1] References ^ Al-Aqsa Guide Al-Aqsa Friends 2007. v · d · eIslamic structures on the Temple Mount Mosque al-Aqsa Mosque Domes Dome of the Ascension • Dome of the Chain • Dome of al-Khidr • Dome of al-Khalili • Dome of Moses • Dome of the Muezzin • Dome of al-Nahawiyyah Dome of the Prophet • Dome of the Rock • Dome of Solomon • Dome of the Spirits • Dome of Yusuf • Dome of Yusuf Agha Fountains Fountain of Ibrahim al-Rumi • Fountain of Qasim Pasha • Fountain of Qayt Bay • Fountain of Sha'lan • Fountain of Sultan Solomon • Pool of Raranj Other structures Islamic Museum • Mihrab Ali Pasha • Minbar of Buran al-Din • Solomon's Stables Minarets Minaret of Israel See also Islamization of the Temple Mount • Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Coordinates: 31°46′42.07″N 35°14′05.63″E / 31.7783528°N 35.2348972°E / 31.7783528; 35.2348972
