Jay Duplass Born Lawrence Jay Duplass[1] 7 March 1973 (1973-03-07) (age 38) New Orleans, Louisiana, US Occupation Film director, film producer, writer Years active 2005–present Lawrence Jay Duplass (born March 7, 1973) is an American film director. He is best known for his debut film The Puffy Chair and most recent film Baghead. His brother Mark Duplass has worked with him on both films. Duplass attributes much of his and his brother's love for film to his appreciation for Raising Arizona. In an interview with Robert K. Elder for The Film That Changed My Life[2], Duplass speculates on what might have happened had he not seen the film in his youth. I probably wouldn’t be making movies—seriously. It held over for so long. It really was the root of everything that Mark and I always hold ourselves to in making movies. That is to say that Raising Arizona is the most inspired movie that I have ever seen.[3] Filmography [4] Year Film Type Credited as Director Producer Writer 2011 Jeff Who Lives at Home Feature Film Yes Yes Yes 2011 The Do-Deca-Pentathlon Feature Film Yes Yes Yes 2010 Cyrus Feature Film Yes Yes Yes 2008 Baghead Feature Film Yes Yes Yes 2005 The Intervention Short Film Yes 2005 The Puffy Chair Feature Film Yes Yes Yes 2004 Scrapple Short Film Yes Yes Yes 2003 Death for Sale Short Film Yes 2003 This is John Short Film Yes 2002 The New Brad Short Film Yes Yes Yes 1996 Connect 5 Short Film Yes References ^ http://ftp.resource.org/copyright/hids/hid_10/hid_10608400-10608699.txt ^ http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1556528256/ref=nosim/wwwrobelderco-20 ^ Duplass, Jay.
