Following the sale of these businesses by the end of 2007 for in excess of £50 million, Cadbury remained on the Board of The Third Space. He has since made numerous investments into entrepreneurial businesses in the UK, some of which he continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director. Cadbury is also well known for his philanthropic work, most notably as the Chairman of The Royal Parks Foundation & Patron of Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), the latter arose from his leadership of the national wheelchair campaign for MNDA. Having left Eton College aged 17, Cadbury started his working life in his first and only job as 'factory boy' at Thomas Tingley Steel Works in Elephant & Castle. He subsequently spent 5 years in the nightclub business working with over 30 clubs, entertaining 4,000 people per week until aged 23, an opportunity arose to purchase a bar and ended up with the acquisition of The Goat in Boots building and the foundation of Longshot in 1994. 1994 founded Longshot Limited Longshot[10] was founded by Joel with his lifelong friend Ollie Vigors, and partner Alex Langlands-Pearse.
